Hello! Let me introduce myself.

I’m not sure what defines me the most – I’m still evolving, maybe now, more than ever.
I could tell you that I was born in a beautiful country that is no more – that kind of thing has, sadly, defined many of my peers…… or that I had a wonderful childhood that was cut short by an untimely loss of a parent – that kind of thing tends to define most humans ….. or that I was the first in my extended family to graduate from University, move to a different continent and start all over again – that kind of thing could fill a couple of lifetimes….
All my adult life I felt like I didn’t belong entirely – every time I moved I had to re-learn how to fit in (I still sometimes question how successful I’ve been at it); but, that also proved to be a blessing – I was lucky enough to meet amazing people from all over the world and make some lifelong friends. I learned along the way, that absolutely everyone is unique, and that one can find something in common with an individual from a completely different culture.
So, act one was an enormous learning curve, both professionally and privately…. and just when I thought I had it all figured out, life threw me another curveball – it turned out it was time for act two.

Act two started unexpectedly, when I was already well set into the routine life in the First word, having fulfilled most of the expectations of the people around me and society at large. (which I was made feel was never good enough).
A series of extraordinary events lead me all the way back to the beginning – I rediscovered places from my childhood and people from my youth. It felt like it suddenly all fell into place, like this was where I could finally return to myself.
The story of my golden years, I’ve decided, is going to be the story of restoring all those dreams that were allowed to fade away in the name of fitting in with other people’s plans and desires.
That being said, my dreams were never extremely ambitious – all I ever wanted was to live peacefully, surrounded by the love of those around me and the beauty found in nature and little things.
To some, it may sound frivolous, but, believe me when I say – I’ve seen the world, it hasn’t impressed me that much.
